Bespoke service

Less copying. A clearer flow between systems.

I automate a repeatable step only when the source of the data, the person responsible for checking it and the response to an unavailable external service are all clear.

Who it is for

This service is for a team copying the same data between forms, spreadsheets, email and a business system, or manually checking statuses that systems can exchange reliably. It brings the most value to a frequent, clear and measurable process.

What it covers

I document the source, rules, responsible person and output of each step. I then build the connection, validation, duplicate protection, logs and retry handling. When automation cannot decide safely, it leaves the task to a person with clear context.

The problem we solve

Manual copying consumes time, but the larger problem is an invisible error: a duplicate record, a missed status or a document generated from old data. Automation introduces one source of truth and a record of what happened.

How I work

I begin with one workflow and enough examples, including external-service failure. The trial version runs against a copy or controlled data. After verification, we introduce monitoring, limits, retries and a clear manual-intervention procedure.

What shapes the proposal

Scope depends on the quality of the available API or export, the number of systems, transformation rules, frequency, data sensitivity and the impact of failure. The proposal states dependencies on services outside my control.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can every system be connected?

Not always. A dependable API, export or another permitted exchange method is required. I verify that before confirming scope.

What happens when an external service is unavailable?

Depending on the process, the action retries safely, remains queued or moves to manual review. An error must not disappear silently.

How do you prevent duplicate records?

I use stable identifiers, idempotent operations where supported and existing-state checks before a write.

Can automation be introduced gradually?

Yes. We first choose one frequent, well-understood flow, measure it and only then connect further steps.
